I’m Barbara Pustelnik, a professional equine and pet photographer based in picturesque Jersey in the Channel Islands. My lens captures the soulful bonds between horses, dogs, and their human companions.
EMBARKING ON A CREATIVE JOURNEY:
My artistic journey began at sports stables in Poland, where I worked as an instructor and horse handler. Completing art education at an art college deepened my passion for art and broadened my view of the world. Then, in 2017, I discovered the charm of Jersey, captivated by its beauty and tranquillity near stunning beaches.
ARTISTRY UNLEASED:
Starting my photographic odyssey in 2006 with a borrowed SLR camera, I drew inspiration from a diverse range of artists around the world. My work reflects a combination of architecture, travel, and, above all, a deep connection with animals.
CAPTURING MOMENTS, GAINING ACCOLADES:
My portfolio has received international recognition and has been featured in esteemed publications such as JEP and Vogue Italy. From the grace of Spanish horses in Menorca to the untamed beauty of Turkish landscapes, each photo tells a unique story.
JERSEY HORSES PROJECT:
Located in Jersey, my ongoing project seamlessly blends local horses with captivating locations. The calendar I presented last year and this year was a success, and a new edition is underway with plans for an exhibition in 2024 at Jersey Heritage’s Link Gallery.
